Run into A Google Ad with Google’s Map Extension?
Have you been searching in the past for a local business and you saw something like this? It contains google’s map extension.
Pineville with the map icon is an extension with a direct link to their business on Google Maps. Using this extension in your ads assists anyone looking to find you quickly, in particular, those people using mobile that are already out on the road.
This is a fabulous extension to use in your ads if you have a business that wants customers to walk-in during business hours or even if you need clients to be able to easily find your location via google search versus taking the extra time to look up your address and then running it on maps.
Examples
I have seen examples where CPA firms use them. CPA firms are generally staffed full-time, so a walk-in would be welcomed (except maybe during tax season). This would be a great option to use for any type of business that may have a showroom or storefront (any business that has customers coming to them.)
For example, AlphaGraphics in Cary has an ad running using the map extension along with structured snippets and more. I don’t think Eric will mind if I give him a bit of attention here.
Google’s Ad extensions are a great way to improve your Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaign. They help performance in several ways such as increased visibility, personalization, lower cost per click, and higher click-through rate.
The main point I’m trying to stress is to make sure you are taking full advantage of all the “extras” that google ads (or for that matter any ad platform) has to offer that would be appropriate for your business.
